Presenter Info: Mike Travers is a Spanish teacher and 6–12 World Language Department Chair in Wellesley Public Schools and the current President of the Massachusetts World Language Association (MAFLA). He has taught Spanish and French at the secondary level and is a frequent presenter at MAFLA, NECTFL, and ACTFL on topics including curriculum design, assessment, instructional leadership, and proficiency-based teaching. Mike is the author of Proficiency-Based Teaching: Teaching Grammar for Proficiency (ACTFL, 2024) and works nationally as a consultant and instructional coach, supporting schools and districts in developing student-centered, proficiency-based world language programs.
