Northeast Conference on the Teaching of Foreign Languages

RIFLA is proud to be a member of the Northeast Conference on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (NECTFL). NECTFL is  a regional organization for world language educators and advocates representing educators from Maine to Virginia.

Each year, NECTFL organizes a regional world languages conference. Any current RIFLA member who attends the annual fall conference has the chance to meet NECTFL representatives and enter a raffle for a free NECTFL conference registration!

ACTFL

RIFLA is proud to be a member of ACTFL. ACTFL is the national organization for world languages educators and advocates across the United States.

ACTFL's Proficiency Guidelines, Can-Do Statements, and Performance Descriptors were essential in helping create the Rhode Island World Language Framework and shaping world language education in Rhode Island. To learn more about ACTFL, click here.
